Bangladesh moved above Pakistan and England in the latest ICC World Test Championship standings after securing a historic victory in Mirpur on Tuesday.

Bangladesh recorded their first home Test win over Pakistan with a 104-run triumph at Shere Bangla National Stadium, taking a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series.

Chasing a target of 268, Pakistan were bowled out for 163 after slipping from a steady 68-2 during an intense final session. Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana starred with the ball, claiming impressive figures of 5-40.

The result marked Bangladesh’s third consecutive Test victory over Pakistan.
