The registration process for overseas cricketers ahead of the upcoming Lanka Premier League 2026 has officially begun, with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announcing the opening of the online player registration portal for foreign players.
Interested international players can now submit their applications for the LPL 2026 player draft through the official registration portal provided by Sri Lanka Cricket. The registration window will remain open until May 18, 2026.
The sixth edition of Sri Lanka’s premier franchise T20 tournament is scheduled to be held during July and August 2026. Matches are expected to be played across four venues: SSC Ground, R. Premadasa Stadium, Pallekele Stadium, and Rangiri Dambulla Stadium.
The tournament will be conducted by SLC, the owner of the LPL, in partnership with The IPG Group, the event rights holder.
Since its inception, the Lanka Premier League has attracted several leading international and local cricketers, helping strengthen Sri Lanka’s domestic T20 cricket landscape while providing opportunities for emerging talent to compete on a global stage.
